<description>I am actually impressed with what they are trying to implement, as I agree wholeheartedly. Also, having the conference in Las Vegas is a great place to shock people into action. It is such a place of excess and waste, pumping gallons of water into a desert for golf courses and pools. I hope that some real action will be taken. So far it has been up to individuals and corporations to make environmental choices on their own, but governmental action will spur more action. I work for Sharp LCD TV which is one of the few companies that has taken initiative to go green. Its factory in Japan boasts one of the largest arrays of rooftop solar panels in the world, drastically diminishing its carbon footprint. Since our government is so slow on its heels, I hope more companies see Sharp as a model of how reducing ones environmental impact can be beneficial.
